Last July 7, 8 and 9 at Sid Lee, took place Startup Weekend Femmes Montréal 3.0, a 54-hour entrepreneurial competition during which you female entrepreneurs transformed their idea into a concrete business with the help of female and male collaborators. The aim of the event was to celebrate female entrepreneurship and encourage women to launch their own business.

The event culminated into a series of 5-minute pitchs in front of a jury, which was formed by Amélie Morency (The Foodroom), Isabelle Mallet (Disruptive Agent), Julie Delisle (Beeye), Sergio Escobar (Founder Institute) and Yeona Jang (eXplorance). Teams were in the race to win high-value prizes :
1st place : Toyzilla, a toy subscription service to allow for more toys without the inconvenience.
Featuring: Stephanie IP, Rebecca Van Der Mije, Rowena D'souza, Audrey Leduc, Miriam Benkirane, Patrick Desmarais.
2nd place : LovMix, ready-to-make natural body care product kits, made easy.
Featuring: Edith Viau, Liz Boyer, Edith Sevigny-Martel, Alina Grenier-Arellano and Julie Tremblay.
3rd place : Undigo, a ready to use and sterilized pair of underwear, in a beautiful capsule.
Featuring: Patrice Laflamme, Stéphanie Labelle and their furry friend, Baccus.
Coup de coeur : Belle & Belly, an online maternity clothes subscription service.
Featuring: Isabelle Montminy, Maud Verney, Caroline Papazian.

Startup Weekend Femmes Montréal 2016
On July 8, 9 and 10 2016, a Startup Weekend Femmes Montréal open to both men and women took place at Sid Lee. Organized by Fondation Montréal inc., the official ambassador of the event was Marie-Josée Lamothe, Managing Director, Branding at Google Canada.
A startup weekend is a 54-hour immersive experience in entrepreneurship where influent members from the business community and expert coaches come to mentor teams. The participants, avant-garde women and male collaborators, build a functional startup during the weekend which is based on action and innovation.
1st place : RadART
RadART is a platform which connects artists with art lovers.
2nd place : SOS NOW
SOS NOW is a mobile application which allows health professionnals to responds to emergencys quickly.
3rd place : MAP MOI
MAP MOI (now Huxxi) is a geolocalisaiton mobile application for garage sales.
Coup de Coeur: Le Curieux
Le Curieux is a mobile application which present current news to children aged between 9 and 12.
